Help Wanted: Public Works Employee

The City of Oakley is accepting applications for a full-time Public Works Employee. This position supports the daily maintenance and operation of City infrastructure and facilities, including the water system, streets, parks, and related public works services.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist with maintaining and operating the city water system.
Perform maintenance at the city park and RV park.
Assist with road work, street maintenance, and related public works projects.
Read water meters and assist with meter-related duties.
Operate and maintain equipment, tools, and vehicles.
Perform other duties as needed to support city operations.

Qualifications

CDL preferred but not required.
Water Operator License preferred but not required.
Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and vehicles used in public works maintenance.
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work well with the public and City staff.

Compensation and Schedule

This is a full-time position. Pay will depend on experience and qualifications.
